Humboldt boys’ golf places first in NCC triangular

Fort Dodge, IA – On Tuesday, May 4, the Humboldt High School boys’ golf team won a North Central Conference triangular at the Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge.

Course par is 36 for a nine hole round – four best scores making up each team score.

As a team Humboldt scored 26 over par to win the meet. Webster City placed second at +35 and third was the hosts, St. Edmond at +37.

St. Edmond’s Drew Shaeffer was the individual meet winner scoring three over par. Humboldt’s Carson Sleiter placed second at +4.

Humboldt’s remaining golfers:

  • Jayden Gargano +8.
  • Ty Gargano +9.
  • Jake Lenning +14.
  • Hayden Holm +16.

The next meet for the Humboldt boys’ golf team is Thursday, May 6, at 4:30 pm. It will be a triangular at the Dows Golf Course with Clarion-Goldfield-Dows and Hampton-Dumont.
