Humboldt girls’ soccer falls on two second half goals by Webster City

Webster City, IA – On Tuesday, May 4, Humboldt High School girls’ soccer lost to the Webster City Lynx 2-0.

Both of Webster City’s goals were scored in the second half after the first half went scorelss.

Humboldt took a total of 14 shots, six of which were on goal. Yuli Orana took four shots, two on goal. Ava McIntire took three shots with two on goal.

Wildcat Goalie Maria Elizondo faced nine shots with seven saves in 80 minutes of goal time.

Humboldt girls’ soccer is now 3-7 this season. Their next match will be on Thursday, May 6, at 5:30 pm. They will travel to face Clear Lake.
