Fort Dodge, IA – Fort Dodge Police Continues to investigate a shooting in Fort Dodge on Sunday afternoon. Police responded to a report of shots fired at 1:58 pm near the intersection of 5th Avenue South and South 21st Street in Fort Dodge. Information provided to police indicates that shots were fired from one vehicle to another while eastbound in the 200 block of 5th Avenue South. No individuals were struck by the gunfire and police located the victim’s vehicle which had sustained damage from gun fire.
Police later at 5:30 pm located the suspect vehicle in the 400 block of North 19th St. Fort Dodge police continues to investigate the incident and encourages anyone with information on those involved to contact law enforcement. The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.
