Dakota City, IA – At Wednesday’s Dakota City Council meeting, the council held a public hearing for the Water Treatment Plant Upgrade project. City Clerk Angelique Berry explained how the project is being funded.
As of August 11, 2021, CDBG funding awarded the city up to $300,000 the city requested $133,000. For the WFTAP Funding, $100,000 was awarded and requested. For Municipal Drinking Water Funds, $250,000 was awarded and 104,241.35 was requested. From the SRF CW Loan, up to 426,000 was awarded and $112,865,62 was requested.
The Council also approved pay application #8 from Baker Group for the Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Project for $53,100. Council also approved resolution 2021-08 City Street Financial Report Fiscal year ending June 30 2021. The city had $126,165 in revenues for the last fiscal year.
