Iowa gubernatorial candidate visits Humboldt County

Dakota City, IA -The first democratic candidate in the 2022 race for Governor of Iowa was in Humboldt County on Thursday evening. Ras Smith is a state representative from Waterloo and spoke at Thursday’s Humboldt County Democrats Family picnic in Dakota City. Smith says his campaign is about working together for solutions for the people of Iowa.

Smith criticized Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and her stances on immigration and refuges and says she her rhetoric has divided Iowans.
