Humboldt, IA- A car accident on Tuesday left two Humboldt women with injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 3:52 on Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of 5th Avenue North and 11th St North in Humboldt when Police found a red GMC Denali resting up to a tree under a swing and play set. Jessica Huete Maradiaga was the driver of the vehicle and the report on the incident states that the GMC was traveling north when a Gray Ford Super Crew driven by Andrew Zinnel traveling east failed to yield to the GMC. Both vehicles jumped the curb damaging an internet/phone box and a city street sign. Huete Maradiaga and her passenger Ana Valeria Huete were transported to Humboldt County Memorial Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening
