Fort Dodge, IA – A wanted Fort Dodge man is in custody after being arrested by police yesterday. 31 year old Michael Euchner was arrested on charges of violation of the Sex Offender Registry, 2nd or subsequent offense, a class D Felony and Violation of Parole (no bond warrant).
The Fort Dodge Police Department released in a statement that Euchner was apprehended by Police after they received information at 2:30 PM on Tuesday that the wanted man may be in the area of 536 South 22nd St in Fort Dodge. When police arrived on the scene they found Euchner at the residence and he locked himself in the house. Officers talked to Euchner for 3 hours before he surrendered without incident shortly before 6:30 PM. Euchner was scheduled to make his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court today . He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The Fort Police Department was assisted on scene by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, the Fort Dodge Fire department and the Webster County Attorney’s Office.
