Fort Dodge man arrested after leading authorities on chase

Fort Dodge, IA – The Fort Dodge Messenger reports that a Fort Dodge man was arrested early Tuesday morning after leading authorities on a chase that ended in a corn field in Hamilton County.

37 year old Blaine Stockwell was charged with Felony Eluding, a Class C Felony and Felony possession of a controlled substance among other charges after failing to stop during a traffic stop and leading police on a pursuit that started in Webster County and ended in a corn field in Hamilton County. 

Stockwell attempted to run from police but was apprehended, but his passenger got away. Stockwell is being held at the Webster County Jail on a cash bond of $32,000. The incident is under investigation, and the Webster County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
