Humboldt, IA -The Humboldt Soil and Water Conservation District announced on Wednesday that Kevin and Lisa Rasmussen of Goldfield were recognized as Iowa Farm Environmental Leaders. The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Department of Natural Resources recognized the Rassmussen’s during a ceremony at the Iowa State Fair.
Humboldt SWCD said in a social media post that the award acknowledges farmers who take voluntary actions to improve and protect the environment and Iowa’s natural resources while serving as leaders in their farming communities. The award was presented by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Lt. Governor Adam Greg, Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Julie Kenney and Department pf Natural Resources Director Kayla Lyon.
Humboldt SWCD nominated the Rasmussen’s for the award.
