Eagle Grove, IA – A Prestage Foods employee in Eagle Grove was killed in an accident Friday morning while doing routine maintenance at the Eagle Grove plant. Prestage Foods of Iowa CEO Jere Null released a statement on Friday, saying that 57 year old Jeffrey Leonardi was killed in the accident while working the third shift and that the company’s thoughts and prayers are with his family, co-workers and friends.
Iowa OSHA has been notified and Prestage Foods is conducting an additional investigation.
