Rolfe, IA – One man is dead after a tractor accident on Wednesday in Pocahontas County. The Pocahontas County Sheriff’s office reports that 83 year old Leroy Simonson, a Rolfe IA native, was ejected from the tractor after an attachment to the loader became undone and the tractor ran over the attachment.
The incident was reported at around 4 pm on Wednesday and Simonson was pronounced dead at the scene just outside Rolfe.
The Rolfe Fire Department and Ambulance assisted the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office.
