Pumpkins and Ponies this weekend

Humboldt, IA – The 16th Annual Pumpkins and Ponies is taking  place on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday October 10 from 11 am to 4:30.

There will be pumpkins of all sizes and wagon rides to the pumpkin patch. The opening ceremony will be a salute to Armed Forces and First Responders. There will also be  the Mile High Stagecoach Show and rides, Dragonfire Dancing horses performances throughout the day and live music by the Nedd Freeley Funn Band.

Other family friendly entertainment includes a Petting Zoo, vintage gas engines and corn shelling demonstration, Des Moines River Valley Antique Tractor & Engineer Club.

Saturday only there will be Pony rides and face painting.

Many food vendors will be on site offering a variety of items including baked goods, honey, kettle corn, homemade crafts, caramel apples food on grounds and other attractions, activities and games.

Pumpkins and ponies will be held at Springvale Farm at 2603 Lone Tree Road in Humboldt.
