Wildcats look to remain unbeaten in clash with Gilbert

Gilbert, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats put their unbeaten 6-0 record on the line tonight as they travel to take on 0-6 Gilbert on the Tigers homecoming game. Wildcats head Coach Derrick Elman says his team is not taking Gilbert lightly.

The Wildcats are 2-0 in District play and ranked 4th in the 3A AP Poll this week, Caden Matson continues to show why he is one of the best players in the state as the Senior Quarterback leads the 3A in total yards and is fourth in all of Iowa in that  category. He is coming off a game against North Polk where he lead the Wildcats to points on every single drive and rushed for a whopping 240 yards and 4 touchdowns and added two passing touchdowns and 209 yards. Humboldt defeated North Polk last week 52-31.
