Humboldt, IA -Election results for Humboldt County on Tuesday:
Landon Bailey beat out Bruce D. Torkelson 26-8 for Gilmore City Mayor.
Kevin McPeak defeated Dennis E Holmes 5-1 for LuVerne Mayor.
For Gilmore City City Council, 3 candidates were vying for 2 spots. LaVonne Hoover had the most votes with 24 followed by Tom Cavanaugh with 22. Irina Jacobs was in 3rd with 12 votes. Both Hoover and Cavanaugh earned at-large City Council seats.
The Humboldt School Public Measure to adopt a Revenue Purpose Statement specifying the use of revenues the Humboldt Community School District will receive from the State of Iowa passed as well.
In uncontested races, Dan Scholl was re-elected Mayor of Humboldt, Sean Phillips was re-elected Mayor of Dakota City, Susan Tille was elected Mayor of Rutland and D.L Peterseon was elected Mayor of Bode.
