Dakota City, IA – Humboldt County is interested in getting an Information Technology Director to oversee Humboldt County. At Monday’s Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Meeting, the Board heard a presentation from Joel Rohne, the IT Director of Worth County and Derek Olson, the IT Director of Kossuth County on behalf of Iowa Counties Information Technology. ICIT provides technology assistance to Iowa Counties. Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Chairman Rick Pedersen says there is a need for an IT person in the county.

Pedersen says he was impressed with the presentation.

The cost of the assessment is $3000 and the board decided to put this item on the agenda next week and will decide on whether to hire ICIT to do the assessment on Humboldt counties IT needs.
