Search for Humboldt City Administrator down to 4 finalists

Humboldt, IA – The City of Humboldt is down to their final 4 candidates for Humboldt City Administrator.  Liz Hanson of Midwest Municipal Consulting has been leading the search and Humboldt City Clerk Gloria Christensen says a new City Administrator could be announced later this week on Thursday when the 4 candidates are set to meet with department heads and decision makers. Two of the candidates are based out of Iowa and the other two are from out of state.

The 4 candidates are as follows, Cole Bockelmann, current City Administrator of Yutan Nebraska, Rodney Lucas, recently the Interim City Manager for Pahokee, Florida, Barbara Smith, the current Deputy City Administrator of Algona, and Lory Young the current City Administrator of Farley, Iowa.

The next Humboldt City Administrator will replace Travis Goedken, who left to become the City Administrator in Decorah, Iowa.
