HUMBOLDT, IA – Iowa Senator Joni Ernst say the situation in Ukraine is weighing very heavily on her heart after Russia attacked Ukraine on Thursday .
“We need to provide a unified front, and push back heavily,” Ernst said. The repercussions should be very stiff economic sanctions, against Vladimir Putin, his cronies, and most of all, himself.”
She says that it is important to respond to the United States NATO allies and provide assistance with Ukrainian refugees that will be pouring into those countries.
Ernst made her comments while visiting a food packaging company in Humboldt on Thursday.
