Humboldt Wildcats Boys’ Soccer cruises past Hampton-Dumont-CAL, improve to 12-0

Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats Boys’ Soccer team continued their winning ways with a 4-1 win over the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs at the Humboldt High School Soccer Field this evening. With the win, the Wildcats are now a perfect 12-0 (10-0 NCC).

The Wildcats got things started in the 23rd minute with Isaiah Kahl (Sr.) deflecting a pass with a header past the goalkeeper to break the seal. A minute later, the Bulldogs would capitalize on an opportunity as the ball squeaked by goalkeeper Noah Skow (Sr.) to tie things up at 1. In the 37th minute, Henrik Gustafson (Jr.) found the net to give the wildcats the lead back in the closing stages of the first half.

The second half would be all Wildcats as Christian Ramirez (So.) put one past the goalkeeper on a penalty kick, remaining perfect on the season. One minute later, Ramirez would get in the middle of a centering cross and send it with a header to the back of the net for his second goal of the game.

The Wildcats will return to the pitch on Monday to host Iowa Falls-Alden at the Humboldt High School Soccer Field. The match will begin after the conclusion of the girls’ game at approximately 6:00 p.m.
