Humboldt Wildcats Girls’ Soccer loses to Clear Lake 6-0

Clear Lake, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats Girls’ Soccer team fell in their regular season finale to the Clear Lake Lions 6-0 yesterday. After the loss, the girls’ team record stands at 10-7 (7-5 NCC).

The Lions of Clear Lake would control the match from the very start, scoring four goals in the first half and blanking the Wildcats through 40 minutes of play. The Lions would add two more goals and not allow the Wildcats to score in the second half, marking the second consecutive game that Humboldt was held scoreless.

The Girls’ next match is this Wednesday at the Humboldt High School Soccer Field in the Class 1A – Region 3 bracket against the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs (1-13). The match will start at 5:00 p.m.

In order to attend Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) postseason games, you must purchase a ticket. All tickets must be purchased through Bound (formerly known as Varsity Bound – Quik Stats).

A ticket will need to be purchased in order to attend the next Humboldt Wildcats Girls’ Soccer game on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. against the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs at the Humboldt High School Soccer Field. Those without tickets will be denied entry to the game.
