Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats boys track team hosted an invitational at the Humboldt Rec Center Friday night.
In the 60 meter dash, Keegan Groat placed No. 6 with a time of 7.60 seconds. Groat was also the top Humboldt performer in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.72 seconds.
At No. 14 in the 800 meter run was Austin Little with a time of 2:33.17. Daylin McDaniel was the top Humboldt performer at No. 17 in the 1600 meter run at 5:52.15.
Humboldt was No. 6 in the 4 x 200 meter relay with a team of Groat, Coen Matson, Peyton Pederson, and Ty Schluter. The Cats also finished at No. 6 in the 4 x 400 with Matson, Elliot Carlson, Jackson Dodd and Mason Van Pelt. Humboldt was No. 7 in the 4 x 800 meter relay.
The Wildcats placed second in the distance medley with Pederson, Groat, Carlson and Van Pelt and was second in the 4 x 60 meter shuttle hurdle with .
Dodd finished tied for fifth in the high jump and Tayeton Lohaus was third in the shot put.
