Dakota City, IA – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors approved the proposed tax levy for the upcoming fiscal year with increases across the board. Humboldt County Auditor Trish Erickson says a few factors led to the increases in the tax levy.
There were increases for General Services with a 3.44 percent increase and in Rural Services of 4.17 percent.
That was Humboldt County Supervisor Bruce Reimers, who says it was a difficult balance to find the right figures. The supervisors approved the proposed levy after the hearing Monday morning.
