Des Moines, IA – The National Weather Service has placed our area under a severe thunderstorm watch until 11:00 p.m. CDT Wednesday.
Kristy Carter, A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, says there will be two rounds of storms.
The second round of storms will be near daybreak Thursday morning.
Carter says having many options for receiving alerts is extremely important.
