Humboldt, IA – The Des Moines River levels reached levels that almost prompted a flood warning earlier this week. Humboldt County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Coordinator Kyle Bissell says it was a close call.
The National Weather Service says if the river would reach a height of 10 feet that it would enact a river flood warning, but the levels stayed below the benchmark. Bissell had reached out to citizens living along the river to update them of the situation.
