Wall Lake, IA – The Humboldt boys soccer team defeated the East Sac County Raiders 9-0 Tuesday for their second victory of the week at Cadwell Field in Wall Lake.
The Wildcats would go on the attack early, with a surge of goals to lead 6-0 at the half before adding on to their lead in the second. Cristhian Ramirez led the Humboldt attack with three goals and Carter Westre had two. Will Orness, Nolan Gustafson, Antonio Xum, and Jonathan Gasca each added a goal as well. Karson Rubel posted another shutout in net for the 9-0 win.
The match did see Orness pick up a yellow card and Ramirez earn a red card late in the second half, meaning that the junior will have to miss the next contest.
With the win, Humboldt improves to 12-1 on the 2023 campaign. The team will next take to the pitch on Thursday at Mason Maach Field as they host the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Cardinals in a NCC matchup at 5:00 p.m.
