Dakota City, IA – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors convened for their weekly session at the Humboldt County Courthouse in Dakota City at 8:30 a.m. Monday. The Board approved the low bid for a box culvert project from last week’s opening of the sealed bids, awarding the project to Peterson Contractors Inc. of Reinbeck, IA on a low bid of $331,894.25.
That was Humboldt County Engineer Ben Loots. The project will be located on Kentucky Avenue six and a half miles north of Humboldt and one mile to the west of U.S. 169.
Loots says the late start day will be next May, but he did not rule out that work could begin as soon as this fall.
