Fort Dodge, IA – Fort Dodge Police have confirmed that 44-year-old Bryan Gambill of Fort Dodge was killed in an early Wednesday morning incident in the 1200 block of 6th Ave. S. The investigation is ongoing into the events that took place prior to the 911 call to dispatch that morning.
A press release from the Fort Dodge Police Department indicates at around 5:10 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a call from a Fort Dodge resident reporting that someone was breaking into his garage and he had shot a man. When Fort Dodge Police officers and medics with Fort Dodge Fire Rescue arrived, they located Gambill who was unresponsive.
Members of the criminal investigation division were called in to assist in the investigation. Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to follow up on this incident. Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to contact the Fort Dodge Police.
