Fort Dodge, IA – The Fort Dodge Police Department is currently investigating an assault from early Sunday morning.
The incident stems from a call Sunday morning at approximately 7:03 a.m., when the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a report of an unresponsive male laying on the ground in Snell Crawford Park.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a male that had sustained what appeared to be a laceration to the throat but was still alive. The male was treated on scene by medics and transported to Unity Point Trinity Regional Hospital. As of Sunday, the victim was said to be in stable condition. Fort Dodge Police say that the males name will not be released until the family has been notified.
The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted on scene by the Fort Dodge Fire Department, the Webster County Attorney’s Office, and the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.
