Victim revealed in July 4 Fort Dodge murder, suspect at-large

Fort Dodge, IA – The teen victim in the July 4  murder in Fort Dodge has been identified by Fort Dodge Police as 15‐year‐old Jameel C. Redding‐Pettigrew of Fort Dodge.

Redding-Pettigrew was gunned down in an incident Wednesday night that has law enforcement searching for 18-year-old Jamarrion James Davis of Ankeny, who is wanted on an arrest warrant for Murder in the First Degree, a Class A Felony.

Davis is described as being 18 years of age, 5’8” tall, and weighing 115 pounds and should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Davis, they are encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately.

Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $500.00 reward to anyone with information which leads to the arrest of Davis.

The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, the Webster County Attorney’s Office, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations, the Iowa State Patrol, The Webster County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Fort Dodge Fire Department.
