(KHBT) – The National Weather Service says an excessive heat warning remains in effect until 9:00 p.m. CDT on Wednesday.

With dangerously hot conditions involving  heat index values of 105 to 115 degrees, extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

The agency says to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
