Webster City, IA – Humboldt’s basketball teams pulled out two key North Central Conference victories Friday night on the road at Webster City.
Humboldt girls’ sweept the season series vs. Webster City with 68-31 win, which marked the ninth consecutive win for Humboldt head-to-head against the Lynx. For Humboldt, Morgan Mann led the team with 32 points and the Lynx were led by Marissa Hedeen with 12. Humboldt improves to 16-4 (11-2 NCC) after the victory.
Humboldt boys’ hung on to sweep the season series vs. Webster City for the first time since the 2020-21 season with a 58-53 win. For Humboldt, Elliot Carlson led the team with 18 points. Webster City was paced by Braden Doering, who also had 18. With the win, Humboldt improves to 13-4 (9-3 NCC).
Both basketball teams host Clear Lake on Tuesday in a NCC doubleheader. Girls’ tip-off at 6:15 p.m. followed by boys’ at 7:45 p.m. KHBT ‘s coverage will start at 6:00 p.m.
