Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt Municipal Airport will soon be undergoing a runway rehabilitation project.
Humboldt City administrator Cole Bockelmann says the $3.2 million dollar project will be roughly 90 percent funded through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Bockelmann says the airport sees quite a bit of traffic.
Bockelmann says the start date is still not definitive.
He says once work begins on the project, that the runway will be closed for the duration of the work. The project also includes lightning upgrades and work on the turnaround area.
