Humboldt Boys’ Soccer opens season with 8-0 win in Iowa Falls

Iowa Falls, IA – The Humboldt Boys’ Soccer team came into Monday night’s matchup in Iowa Falls looking to begin their journey to put together another successful season that has seen them qualify for the state tournament each of the last two years. The team picked up where they left off with a 8-0 route of the Cadets.

Cristhian Ramirez led the scoring attack with four goals. Antonio Vicario, Jacob Girres, Nolan Gustafson, and Sterling Scranton each added a goal to the winning effort.

With the win, Humboldt improves to 1-0 (1-0 NCC) and heads to Belmond Thursday to face Wright County Soccer, a team comprised of players from Eagle Grove, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, and Belmond-Klemme. The match is set for 5:30 p.m. with coverage on KHBT starting at
