Two-vehicle accident results in non-life threatening injuries in Humboldt County

Humboldt Co., IA – A two-vehicle accident in Humboldt County on Memorial Day resulted in non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident just after noon on Monday along Gotch Park Road in Humboldt County. A 2021 Black Ford Bronco driven by 19-year-old Haley Satern of Humboldt was traveling Southbound on Gotch Park Road with a 1999 White Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 23-year-old Alexander Fliehe of Humboldt was traveling Northbound.

According to the accident report, Fliehe attempted to make a left hand turn into the driveway at 2549 Gotch Park Road and did not Satern traveling Southbound, resulting in a head-on collision with Satern’s Ford Bronco overturning in the ditch.

Both Satern and Fliehe were transported to Humboldt County Memorial Hospital via Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries and both vehicles were totaled. Fliehe was cited for Failure to provide Proof of Financial Liability and Failure to Yield upon a left turn.
