Humboldt, IA – A new addition to the Humboldt County Fair is coming to the fairgrounds this Sunday called Bacon Buddies, a program that lets those with special needs participate in showing an animal.
Pam Davis is the assistant coordinator with the new show.
Davis says they already have mentors lined up for the show.
She says Bacon Buddies helps those overcome their fears if unfamiliar with swine.
The Bacon Buddies program is scheduled to follow the Open Swine Show at approximately 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the show ring.
