Humboldt, IA – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is on the ground in Humboldt County to register those impacted by the recent flooding in late June and early July.
In a release, Humboldt County EMA says that FEMA will be going door-to-door, seven days a week from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in an effort to register residents affected by the flood waters in the area.
FEMA says to register even if you had just a small amount of water damage. The team currently on the ground will be in the county until all of those that need to get registered and will be wearing FEMA vests and carry the proper lanyard ID badges that will identify them to you. Humboldt County EMA says the dispatch center and local law enforcement have been made aware of the agency’s presence.
The registration process with FEMA can be done in just a few minutes and if the team misses you, they will leave a flyer with information you can use to register yourself and they will attempt to stop by again.
To register yourself you can go to: www.disasterassistance.gov or call 800-621-3362.
