Fort Dodge teen dies in one-vehicle accident, two injured

Fort Dodge, IA – A Fort Dodge teen is dead and two others injured in a one-vehicle crash late Tuesday night in Fort Dodge.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, A 2013 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling through Loomis Park in Fort Dodge when the driver lost control and struck a tree. The driver, 16-year-old Leah Lynch of Fort Dodge, was pronounced dead on scene. The two injured were both 16 years of age. One of the injured was airlifted to MercyOne in downtown Des Moines, with the other treated and released on scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. They were assisted on scene by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, the Fort Dodge Police Department, Fire Department and EMS.
