Humboldt, IA – Halloween is Thursday and Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Kruger is reminding parents to extra cautious to keep their kids safe during this year’s spooky holiday.
Sheriff Kruger says it’s a good idea to make sure kids dressed up are not dressed in dark clothing so they can be well seen.
Parents might want to take a look at their kids candies for any unwanted objects.
The Humboldt County Sheriff says they will be handing out candy on Thursday.
The designated times for trick-or-treating are from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Humboldt and Dakota City for residents. Downtown Humboldt area businesses will be handing out candy from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
