Forest City, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats’ volleyball team moved one step closer to advancing to the 2024 State Tournament with a 3-1 victory over the Forest City Indians Thursday night.
The Wildcats fell in the first set 25-11 to the Indians, but would battle back to win the next three sets 25-15, 25-20, and 25-17 to put themselves a win away from the State Tournament.
With the win, Humboldt sits at 23-9 (7-0 NCC) and will head to Western Christian High School on Tuesday for the 3A-2 Regional Final. The Wolfpack sit at 30-13 after their 3-0 win over Algona. Humboldt comes into the matchup looking for their first State Tournament appearance since 2020 with Western Christian looking for a state-record 24th consecutive appearance.
