Humboldt, IA – Humboldt High School’s Student Senate is holding a Powderpuff Tournament at Mason Maach Field on Friday, Nov. 15 to help raise money for the school’s F.U.E.L. program.
Beth Short, is an 11th Grade English Language Arts Teacher and leader for the student senate.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is $5 per person. Heather Johnson is the Student Services Coordinator and oversees the F.U.E.L. program, which helps students in need.
Johnson says the F.U.E.L. program is always willing to take donations.
In just this year alone, F.U.E.L. has set to serving 81 households and 141 students, with over 1,057 items distributed to date. On average, the program supports 30 households each week.
