(KHBT) – A Wind Advisory is set to go into effect for our area from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. as west to northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.
The National Weather Service is Des Moines says the gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
If driving a high profile vehicle, drivers are urged to use caution. Some winter weather is also expected across northern Iowa today with flurries or snow showers possible.
