Humboldt boys’ wrestling ranked eighth in final dual poll, to host regional final Feb. 4

Humboldt, IA – The final Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) rankings for boys’ dual wrestling have been released with Humboldt sliding into the top eight, earning the right to host a regional final.

No. 8 (2A) Humboldt will host the regional final dual meet on Tuesday, February 4 against the winner of the semifinal matchup, which features an all North Central Conference regional. No. 9 Clarion-Goldfield-Dows will face No. 14 Hampton-Dumont/CAL in the semifinal round, the winner taking on Humboldt later that night.

Humboldt won their lone dual over the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys this year 40-35 on Jan. 9. The Wildcats would split duals with the Hampton-Dumont/CAL Bulldogs this season, winning 39-30 on December 19 in Hampton and falling in the 2025 Osage Duals 37-34 on January 18.

The semifinal round gets underway at 6:00 p.m. from Humboldt High School. The regional winner advances to the 2025 IHSAA State Dual Tournament at Xtream Arena in Coralville on February 8.
