(KHBT) – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from noon until 9:00 p.m. tonight for portions of central, northeast, and west central Iowa with light freezing drizzle expected for the area.
Light freezing rain and drizzle is expected to develop across southern Iowa Wednesday morning with expansion northward during the
afternoon hours. A light glaze of ice is expected before the precipitation ends Wednesday evening. Total ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch are expected in the warned areas.
Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages.
