KHBT – The National Weather Service has placed our area under a Winter Weather Advisory effective tonight at 9 p.m. and lasting through 6 p.m. Friday.

Total snow accumulations for the area are forecast in the range of two to seven inches of heavy, wet snow. The agency says a band of precipitation will spread from Nebraska into western Iowa late today and central and eastern Iowa tonight. Temperatures will be near freezing but mostly rain is expected in southern Iowa, while north central Iowa is forecast to see a band of accumulating snowfall leading to hazardous driving conditions tonight into Friday.
