Dakota City city-wide clean up day next week

Dakota City, IA – Dakota City’s city-wide clean up day is less than a week a way and the city is asking residents to prepare for next Monday.

Dakota City officials say items should be placed at the curbside by 8 a.m. Monday, May 5 for junk or brush pick up. There is a limit of one truckload per household.

Stickers are available from Dakota City hall for appliances, TVs, and other electronic equipment for $10 each.

Items that will not be picked up include waste oil, tires, batteries, construction and demolition materials, hazardous waste, railroad ties, concrete, steel, and household bags of trash. The city does reserve the right to reject all items if the guidelines are not followed.
