Boone, IA – The 2025 and 2026 high school football schedules have been released by the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) as redistricting for the next two seasons is underway.
Humboldt is coming off a 2024 campaign in which the team made their second appearance in a state title game, and first since 2006, in a 49-14 loss to Wahlert Catholic. The 2025 schedule is the first year of the new two-year district in the IHSAA classifications. Holdovers from Humboldt’s previous district include Algona and Webster City with new additions Bishop Heelan in Sioux City, Sioux Center, and MOC Floyd-Valley.

In 2024, Humboldt went 6-0 against their five opponents who are on the schedule for 2025, including on against on the road at Spencer 27-10 in the season opener, 21-18 over Ballard, 21-20 over Algona in a matchup of No. 1 and No. 2 in 3A, twice against Clear Lake (23-13 on the road in the regular season and 13-10 in the first round of the postseason at Mason Maach Field), and 28-14 over Webster City on senior night.
