Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s office is reminding citizens to secure their property after a case of a stolen camper in Pocahontas County that was recovered in western Wright County. That camper contains electronics, food and horse related supplies that were believed to be stolen.
Chief Deputy Corey Lampe at the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office says it’s a good idea to start taking precautions in case you ever become a victim.
He says that the summer time does see an uptick in thefts, although other times of the year are not immune.
If you are the victim of a theft, Chief Deputy Core Lampe says to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office to file a report. The Humboldt County Law Enforcement Center can be contacted at (515) 332-2471. For emergencies, 911 should be used.
