Humboldt County is seeking applicants for the position of Engineering Technician. The applicant will be responsible for the development, planning, surveying, design, drafting and construction inspection of highway projects. The applicant will also be responsible for Humboldt County’s planning and zoning. Surveying and construction inspection experience is desirable. Applicants are required to hold a valid Iowa drivers license. Applicants must be able to obtain DOT certification in Level I HMA, Level I and II PCC inspection. Applicants should have experience in Autocad, Microsoft word and Excel. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to establish a working relationship with co-workers, contractors and the public. $28 to $32/hour based on qualifications.
