New emergency lines in place for use by Humboldt County officials

Humboldt, IA – Humboldt County’s Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in collaboration with T-Mobile’s Government Team placed five new emergency communication phones into service on May 28.

Humboldt County EMA Coordinator Kyle Bissell says the phones will be used during emergencies and disasters that impact our county and can be activated and deactivated as needed during the response and recovery phases of an incident.

Bissell says the phones are a big upgrade from the previous system the county had used.

The phones are currently in possession of Humboldt County are ready for use.
