Livermore, IA – Two people in Livermore have been arrested on charges of kidnapping, sexual exploitation, and child endangerment charges.
37-year-old Dixie Jean Niles and 37-year-old Nathaniel Lee Depew, both of Livermore, have been arrested and charged with Kidnapping in the first degree, class A felon, three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, class B felonies, and 12 counts of Child Endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors.
Their arrests stem from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office taking a report on May 27 of this year of a possible sexual assault that took place in Livermore.
Both Depew and Niles are currently being held in the Humboldt County Jail on a $1 million bond that was set during their initial appearance in Humboldt County District Court Sunday. Their preliminary hearings are both scheduled for August 25. The sheriff’s office conducted an investigation with the assistance of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Iowa Attorney General’s Office, leading to the arrest of Niles and Depew.
The investigation is ongoing.
