Cedar Falls, IA – No. 6 (3A) Humboldt went 4-1 to capture the tournament title in Cedar Falls.
Humboldt registered wins over No. 11 (5A) Johnston (21-15, 20-22, 17-15), No. 3 (1A) Saint Ansgar (21-16, 21-10), No. 9 (5A) Cedar Falls (12-21, 21-9, 15-8), and No. 15 (4A) Nevada (21-11, 21-14). Humboldt’s lone loss came at the hands of No. 8 (4A) Waverly-Shell Rock (10-21, 21-19, 12-15).
Humboldt improves to 12-2 overall and heads to Fort Dodge Tuesday for non-conference play.
